Antique Lead Cherub Garden Statue

A delightful antique lead garden statue of a classical child with a quiver of arrows. Laying lead garden figures are much more unusual than the standing counterparts, this garden statue could be an early interpretation of Apollo or even a romantic vision of a young Robin Hood. This came from a local country house. We can’t be sure of age or original manufacture, but we believe to be very early 1900s. A good eye catching scale. . There are some historic repairs, mainly on the back of the lying child.
