Pair of Large Faux Bois Garden planters
Faux Bois ((fō bwah) is derived from the French word, false wood. It is an imitation of wood and was first crafted in France by designers called ‘rocailleurs’ who used materials such as common iron materials: rods, barrel bands, and chicken wire.
Faux Bois captures to look and texture of wood and its grain. It was particularly popular in the late 19th century through to the 1940’s. Garden ornaments, garden planters, bird baths, garden seating and tables were all created with this very effective and realistic false log effect.
Here we have a truly fine example of a stunning pair of garden Faux Bois planters. With its very large and deep body, it will be ideal for most planting.
