Antique Shallow Garden Terracotta Bowl Planters

£385.00

Exceptionally rare set of seven shallow terracotta garden pots or bowls, perfect for bulbs or plants with small root systems. Three pieces bear the Sankey Bulwell and Darlaston pottery marks, highlighting their age and provenance. These all come as a set.

Sankey Bulwell pots are known for their rich, deep red hue, made from Nottingham clay, while Darlaston pieces were crafted from clay sourced in the Moxley area. G & A Tuck Ltd pots are rarer still; originally established in 1830, the pottery was taken over by George & Arthur Tuck in 1908 and operated from Upshire, Waltham Abbey.

Each of these extremely rare pots are a handmade slice of history, carrying the patina of age yet remaining in excellent condition. Their craftsmanship far surpasses the mass-produced terracotta pots of today.
