Antique Garden Terracotta Plant Pots

Wonderful set of twelve 8.5 inch antique garden pots, from Sankey Bulwell, Darlaston and G&A Tuck, Waltham Abbey. So closely matched, they are a good sized pots. We have ten 8.5 inch (21.59cms) and two 7.5inch (19.05cms).

Sankey Bulwell pots have a distinctive deep red colouring, the clay from Nottingham, whilst Darlaston clay was from the Moxley area of Darlaston. G & A Tuck Ltd pots are less commonly found. They were a potters based in Upshire, Waltham Abbey founded in 1830, but then taken over by George & Arthur Tuck in 1908.

All these little pieces of history have all been handmade. They come beautifully aged but in excellent condition, far superior quality to the terracotta plant pots manufactured by machine today.
