Antique Olive coloured Castelnaudary Planter

An unusual antique olive coloured Castelnaudary French terracotta vase or pot. This versatile, highly decorative twin handled vase has aged gracefully. Crafted in the South of France during the 1800’s, these antique pots were formerly used for planting citrus trees and were transported to warmer parts of the house during the French winters with their chunky handles.  Please note on the body, there is some damage to the terracotta – however this is clearly visible on the photographs.
