Huge Antique Copper British Cheese Vat

This cheese Vat originated from the purveyors of cheeses from Somerset circa 1920’s. With a wonderful worn copper patina and hints of Verdigris, this rare, grand scale Vat would make a fabulous display piece both indoors or outdoors as a statement garden planter or indeed water feature. Otherwise known as a kettle, this is British craftsmanship at its best with forged handles on either side and central pipe towards the bottom originally used for siphoning out the whey from the curd.

Wonderful patina, hugely versatile piece of history, this XL antique copper vessel made from thick gauge copper is simply stunning.
