Pair of Portland Stone Garden Owl Statues

A fabulous pair of hand carved Portland stone garden owls. With excellent detail everywhere including the wide eyes, feathering of the wings, sharp clawed feet, and those cute ears, these are a total one off. Portland stone is a hard-wearing stone that has been quarried for the Jurassic Coast in Dorset. Very famously it has been used on London buildings such as Buckingham Palace, the British Museum, the Foreign Office, the Cenotaph and St Paul’s Cathedral.
