A pair Arras antique bistro tables

£2,500.00

A delightful, original 1860’s French Arras pair of bistro tables with original patina. This is the rarest example of the Arras furniture range, with the iconic lions’ claw feet and with the markers stamp ‘Grassin à Arras’.
Grassin was a 19th-century French manufacturer associated with Arras, northern France, and is regarded as one of the makers responsible for the distinctive Arras wrought iron garden furniture style. The firm began specialising in garden furniture around 1840, producing hand-forged and riveted iron chairs, benches, tables, and other garden pieces. Original Grassin pieces are now considered collectible antique French garden furniture.
These are the smallest bistro tables I have come across and quite a find to find such a near pair. In excellent condition, the tabletop have been nicely waxed to make these a joy to sit, eat and drink from. Perfect for a small patio, balcony or the conservatory.
