Capasone 18th Century Oil Jar Terracotta Puglia Italy
Antique jars, pots and vases are called many different names all over the world. The Capasone jar, from Puglia, Southern Italy is a deeply coloured Italian terracotta jar. Also called Zirre, these glazed yellow or brownish jars were designed to store wine and more rarely oil, used instead of barrels. Today it is often found in the garden as a decorative piece.
