Petite Salt Glazed antique Strawberry Planter

We are such a fan of these antique Victorian planters used for growing strawberries in the 18-1900’s. This is a rather special garden planter due to its condition, small, compact size, and design. Interestingly, us Brits seem to think that we cornered the market in strawberries, but it was documented that as early as the 1300’s, King of France, Charles V grew over 1,200 strawberry plants in his royal garden. Strawberries is one of our youngest domesticated plants.

With its salt glazed finish, tree trunk like design, this Victorian planter would be ideal for any trailing plants in the garden. This highly decorative garden planter has an enclosed base with a drainage hole.
